Tucked into the woods with balconies overlooking a lake, it is possible to relax and enjoy the scenery while sipping a drink. Plan on time to browse the little shops with handmade wooden gifts or sit in the private library and browse some volumes. This lovely restaurant begs the visitor to get in touch with nature rather than hurrying along.

I went to local restaurant “Kamaya” at Kamiyama town, Tokushima pref., Japan. I ate delicious lunch dishes with local food. The restaurant, Kamaya, offers an abundant variety of seasonal dishes using Kamiyama’s local fare. The rice grown on the Food Hub Project Farm is exceptional, thanks to Kamiyama’s climate with its drastic temperature differences. This rice is cooked with spring water from the local mountains on our kamado (traditional Japanese-style earthen stove), the centerpiece of the Kamaya. Yusan Pizza is located at a century-old house of Kamiyama town, Tokushima pref., Japaan. You can eat pizzas with local and organic vegetables. The shop’s name “Yusan” comes from the cultural activity of Tokushima pref.. In the custom, children go for a walk with lunch box which is called “Yusan bako”.
I love this shop “Junky Nonky” at Takamatsu city, Kagawa pref., Japan. Those bread or cake is produced from wheat flour yeast. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, and you can enjoy a leisurely meal. I came to love the food and mood of that cafe.
