世界最大級の旅行プラットフォーム「Tripadvisor（トリップアドバイザー）」が、先月25日に「2020トラベラーズチョイスアワード」の観光地ランキングを発表した。

“人気の観光地”だけでなく、今年からは、過去1年間で旅行者からの口コミや評価が急上昇した“注目の観光地”と、一部の旅行者にお気に入りの観光地として「旅リスト」に保存され、これから人気が高まると予想される“今後注目の観光地”の2つのカテゴリーが加わった。

注目も観光地の第1位にはインドの「コーチ（コーチン）」が輝き、今後の注目スポットとしてはロシアの「カリーニングラード」が1位に。また、日本からは香川県「高松市」が今後注目の観光地として、世界17位に選出。高松市の「栗林公園」が“外国人に人気の観光スポット”ランキングで3年連続ランクインしているのも選ばれた理由のひとつだろう。
