【香川】世界初のガラス灯台、日本三大夜灯台の1つ。高松の赤灯台「せとしるべ」 – [Kagawa] The World’s First Red Glass Lighthouse

世界初のガラス灯台、日本三大夜灯台の1つ。1964年（昭和39年）から「赤灯台」と呼ばれ、市民に親しまれてきた香川県高松港の赤灯台。その後、改築移設され透過性ガラスブロック1,600個で構成されている「せとしるべ」と呼ばれる現在の灯台は1998年（平成10年）に初点灯したものです。

The world’s first glass lighthouse and one of Japan’s three great night lighthouses. The Red Lighthouse at Takamatsu Port in Kagawa Prefecture has been affectionately known as the ‘Red Lighthouse’ by local residents since 1964 (Shōwa 39). It was subsequently rebuilt and relocated; the current lighthouse, known as ‘Setoshirube’ and comprising 1,600 translucent glass blocks, was first lit in 1998 (Heisei 10).

夜の瀬戸内海を照らしてきたこの赤灯台の歴史上、はじめての夜間開放が行われたので、撮影させていただきました。普段見ることのできない、灯台の内部構造や、海側からみたサンポートの夜景を楽しむことができました。関係者の皆さま、ありがとうございました！この季節、赤灯台までの道は、夜釣りを楽しむ人々で賑わっています。

As this was the first-ever night-time opening in the history of the Red Lighthouse, which has long illuminated the Seto Inland Sea at night, I was given the opportunity to take some photographs. I was able to enjoy views of the lighthouse’s internal structure—which are not usually visible—as well as the night-time view of Sanport from the sea. Thank you very much to everyone involved! At this time of year, the path leading to the Red Lighthouse is bustling with people enjoying a spot of night fishing.
