春の色で染まる村。さなごうち – Beautiful mimosa tree of Sanagochi village

ミモザや菜の花の黄色。徳島県の佐那河内村（さなごうちそん）が少しづつ春の色で染まっていきます。3月8日はミモザの日。この日は国際女性デーでもありますが、イタリアでは女性の日（Festa della donna）。男性が日頃の感謝の気持ちを込めて、妻や恋人、身近の女性にミモザの花を贈る習慣があります。

There is a mimosa tree at Sanagochi village, Tokushima pref., Japan. 8th March is a day of mimosa. The day is also International Women’s Day. In Italy, there is the custom that the man gives woman flower of mimosa with feelings of gratitude.

ギンヨウアカシア (Acacia baileyana) とはマメ科ネムノキ亜科の常緑高木。別名ハナアカシア。葉は名前の通り銀色を帯びています。「アカシアはちみつ」として販売されている蜂蜜はニセアカシアの蜜。
Foliage and flowers. Mimosa is early spring flower common in Japan having yellow flowers. Mimosa (Acacia dealbata) is a species of Acacia, native to southeastern Australia and widely introduced in Mediterranean, warm temperate, and highland tropical landscapes.

本来ミモザは、オジギソウを指す言葉で、その学名に由来する植物名ですが、現在の日本語ではほぼアカシア類の花を呼ぶ名としてのみ使われています。オーストラリアが原産国。
