高松の大名庭園 栗林（りつりん）公園では紅葉シーズンライトアップがあり夜遅くまで開園しております。栗林公園は国指定特別名勝、ミシュランの観光版(ギード・ベール)で最高評価の三ツ星に選ばれた名園です。2001年から開始した栗林公園・秋のライトアップが今年も開催されます。昼とはまた違った趣のある幻想の世界をお楽しみください。

The daimyo’s garden in Takamatsu, Ritsurin Garden, is open late into the night with autumn leaf season lights. Ritsurin Garden is a nationally designated special place of scenic beauty and has been awarded the highest rating of three stars in the Michelin tourist edition (Guides Vert). Enjoy a different atmospheric world of fantasy from that of daytime.

Like a feudal lord of the past, one can enjoy views of the garden that can only be seen from aboard the relaxing Japanese-style wasen boat ride, led by one of the garden’s boat guides.

香川県は、松盆栽の生産量が日本一です。この季節、栗林公園で開催されているライトアップの主役は赤や黄色に染まった木々ですが、松にも目を向けてみてください。美しく剪定された伝統の技術が息づいています。

庭園全体の空間構成や一歩一景の仕掛けの多様さなど
日本各地にある大名庭園に引けを取らない素晴らしい庭園です。

日本三名園というと、水戸の偕楽園、金沢の兼六園、岡山の後楽園ですが、
1910年（明治43年）に文部省から発行された『高等小学読本』には、

「木石の雅趣、三名園より優れり」

と、栗林公園は日本三名園より優れていると記載されております。

栗林公園の秋のライトアップに行ってきました。
この季節、12月頭まで夜21時までライトアップしていて（最終入場は20:30）
うどんや焼き芋など、体が温まる屋台もでているので仕事帰りによってみてはいかがでしょうか。

I went to see the changing colors of autumn leaves at Ritsurin Garden, Takamatsu city, Japan. You can see the light-up of the garden at night. And you can eat hot food like Udon (wheat noodle) and stone-roasted sweet potato there.

着物でこられている人たちもいました。
江戸時代にも提灯片手に紅葉散策とかしていたのでしょうか。

カップルや家族連れで賑やかです。

掬月亭で水面に映る紅葉を眺めながら、音楽会やお抹茶を楽しめます。

うどんの屋台に行列ができていたので並んでみると、

揚げたての天ぷらをいれて

温かいうどんをいただきました。

約75万平方メートルの広大な庭園。

池泉回遊式大名庭園

南庭は讃岐領主生駒家の別荘を1642年に初代高松藩主の松平頼重が庭園整備に着手。松平家5代、100年余の歳月を費やして完成したそうです。

偃月橋(えんげつきょう)。園内にある14の橋の内でも最も大きい橋。

栗林公園 – Wikipedia

紫雲山を借景として6つの池と13の築山を巧妙に配した大名庭園で、回遊式庭園の南庭と近代的に整備された準洋式の北庭からなっている。面積は約75ヘクタールと特別名勝に指定されている庭園の中では最大の広さである。
1625年頃、讃岐領主生駒高俊によって、南湖一帯が造営され、1642年入封した松平頼重に引き継がれ以後松平氏5代約100年をかけて完成した。明治新政府の管理下におかれた後、1875年に県立公園になり一般に公開された。1953年には特別名勝に指定された。
園内には、茶亭や香川県の民芸品を展示している讃岐民芸館や特産品を展示即売する商工奨励館もある。
名は栗林であるが当初から松を中心とした庭園である。名の由来となった栗林はかつては北門付近に存在していたが伐採された（鴨猟の邪魔になるためとも言われる）。

Ritsurin Garden is one of the most famous and most beautiful historical gardens in Japan. The garden is situated in the city of Takamatsu and is considered one of its main attractions. The garden contains a tea house, various folk art and craft exhibits (including the Sanuki Folk Craft Museum), as well as various folk art and craft items for sale.
A tour through the garden generally takes one to two hours. There are various bridges, footpaths and small hills which offer a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding scenery, most notably Mt. Shiun at the western border of the garden.

The buildings in the Garden date back to the early 17th century. In 1625, the feudal lord of Takamatsu in Sanuki Province, Ikoma Takatoshi, began construction of Ritsurin, specifically the building of a garden around the South Pond using the beautiful greenery of Mt. Shiun as a backdrop. Beginning in 1642, Matsudaira Yorishige took over the area and continued its construction. The work was completed by the Fifth Lord Yoritaka in 1745 after 100 years of improvements and extensions made by the successive lords. After the new Meiji government took control, the garden was designated a prefectural garden and opened to the public on 16 March 1875. In 1953, the garden was designated a Special Place of Scenic Beauty. The many ponds and streams are full of koi and the pond at the Tea House has benches where visitors may sit and feed the fish from breadsticks purchased at the Tea House.
