高松港から20分の沖合に浮かぶ、女木島（めぎじま）。香川県高松市でも有数の白砂のビーチがあり、夏には多くの海水浴客で賑わいます。そんな女木島にはおよそ3,000本もの桜が植えられており、鬼ヶ島伝説のある洞窟に向かう途中に桜のトンネルがお出迎え、瀬戸内海を一望できる標高188mの鷲ヶ峰展望台からも綺麗な桜を楽しむことができます。春の陽気に包まれて、桜散策に島旅に出かけてみてはいかがでしょうか。

It’s takes 20min from Takamatsu city to Megi island by ferry (360yen one way). The island is famous for beautiful beach and ogre cave from momotaro legend. This island is great to visit during full cherry blossoms. 3,000 cherry trees are planted along the street and observation tower of the island (Mt. Washigamine / Elevation　188m).

女木島さくらまつりに行ってきました。雨の鬼ヶ島。展望台から眺める靄（もや）のかかった瀬戸内海に、赤色のめおん号が映えて綺麗でした。

I went to cherry blossoms festival at Megi island, Seto Inland Sea, Japan. It takes 20min from Takamatsu port of Kagawa pref. by ferry, Although it was rain, I love misty scenery and islands of Setouchi. The red ferry “Meon” was very brightly colored with blue color of the sea.

バスで山頂の洞窟にいく途中に桜のトンネルを抜けます。

屋島がみえます。


山頂につくと鬼たちが出迎えてくれます。


どことなく鬼のデザインは、東南アジアを感じさせます。


公衆トイレ。鬼の金棒が置いてあるというささやかな演出。


犬・猿・キジで攻めるなら今がチャンス！（卑怯）

めおんの赤が瀬戸内の青に映えます。好きな瀬戸内の景色のひとつ。


霧で霞んでいる景色も春の瀬戸内の風景らしくて好きです。
