香川県立 公渕森林公園 – Kinbuchi Forest Park

行くたびに「いい公園だな」と発見にあふれている香川県立の公渕森林公園（きんぶちしんりんこうえん）。香川県選定の「香川のみどり百選」や環境省選定による「四国のみち（四国自然歩道）にも選ばれています。

Every time I go to Kagawa Prefecture’s Kobuchi Forest Park , I am filled with discoveries about what a good park it is. The park has been selected as one of the ‘100 Greenery Spots in Kagawa’ by Kagawa Prefecture and the ‘Shikoku no Michi (Shikoku Nature Trail)’ by the Ministry of the Environment.

Kinbuchi Forest Park is characterized by idyllic mountain scenery including Kinbuchi pond, and Castle pond, and Mt. Futago. The scenery of the park is beautiful in every season. There are cherry blossom in spring, hydrangeas and tree peonies in early summer and the colors of the changing leaves in autumn. There is a playground for small children south of Kinbuchi Pond. The playground equipment is designed after acorns which are plentiful within the park in autumn. Children will be excited to play on the complex equipment that includes slides, a rope tunnel and monkey bars. There is equipment with a bear design for infants, too. There is a ten-car parking lot a 2- or 3-minute walk from the playground for small children. It is handy for families with small children that usually have a lot of baggage. ※The parking lot is provided through the kindness of the owner. Experience nature, and pick up fallen leaves and nuts. This is another attraction of Kinbuchi Forest Park. The spacious lawn park is perfect for playing badminton and jogging. You can enjoy the walking paths while contemplating the mountain scenery. Elementary school children should try playing in the adventure playground in the Mt. Futago area

What is The Roads of Shikoku?

The Roads of Shikoku (Shikoku Nature Trail) is a long nature trail that spans over 1545.6km. It begins in Naruto City of Tokushima Prefecture and ends in Itano-cho of Itano District in the same prefecture. This trail allows you to walk around Shikoku while having the chance to become acquainted with the sacred sites of Shikoku as well as the nature and historical sites scattered around the various regions.
The The Roads of Shikoku (Shikoku Nature Trail) in Ehime Prefecture brings you to the Seto Inland Sea where you can enjoy views of islands of various sizes, the Uwa Sea which has complex coastlines, and the beautiful nature of Shikoku Karst. It gives you the chance to explore the history and culture of Shikoku’s Pilgrimage Trail, old roads, and its shrines and temples. The entire trail comprises 33 different routes with a total length of 362.5km.

Kagawa Prefecture
The Shikoku no Michi in Kagawa Prefecture is dotted with numerous beautiful lakes, including Manno Lake which is widely known as Japan’s most famous lake, that exist in harmony with low hills resembling inverted bowls to create a peaceful rural landscape. The entire trail comprises 28 different routes with a total length of 270km.

公渕森林公園 – Wikipedia

公渕森林公園（きんぶちしんりんこうえん、Kinbuchi forest park ）は、香川県高松市東植田町にある公営の森林公園。香川県の制定した公渕森林公園条例によって定義されている。

元は香川県農業試験場の種苗育成場であったが、のち県民の心身の健康の増進並びに森林及び緑化に関する知識の向上を図ることを目的に土地を整備解放し、1978年に条例制定および開園した。現在、指定管理者制度が導入されており、財団法人かがわ水と緑の財団が管理している。

香川県東部林業事務所が本拠オフィスを置く。香川県選定の「香川のみどり百選」や環境省選定による「四国のみち（四国自然歩道）」にも選ばれている。

芝生広場、森林学習展示館、キャンプ場、チビッコ広場やアスレチックコースなど、青少年の自然教育の場として、またレクリエーションを楽しめる里山の”水と緑と花の公園”。春は5,000本の桜のお花見、秋は紅葉や菊花展でにぎわいます。アジサイ園、シャクヤク園、ボタン園ほか湿性草地や広葉樹の森など四季折々の自然に溢れています。
