錦秋湖（きんしゅうこ）は、岩手県和賀郡西和賀町（旧・湯田町）につくられた湯田ダムのダム湖。湖の周辺は湯田温泉峡県立自然公園に指定されており、名前の通り、秋の紅葉が見どころです。冬は湖面が凍り親水性の樹木だけが姿をみせる白銀の世界ですが、四季を通じてオオタカ・タカ・イヌワシ・ヤマセミ・カワセミや、オオハクチョウやカモ類の渡り鳥など多くの鳥類が生息・飛来します。

Kinshu Lake is a dammed lake of the Yuda Dam created in Nishi-Waga Town (formerly Yuda Town), Waga County, Iwate Prefecture. The area around the lake is designated as Yuda Onsenkyo (Hot spring village) Prefectural Natural Park and, as the name suggests, the autumn leaves are a highlight. In winter, the lake is a silvery white world where the surface freezes over and only hydrophilic trees are visible, but many birds inhabit and fly to the lake throughout the four seasons, including goshawks, hawks, golden eagles, kingfishers, kingfishers, whooper swans and migratory ducks.
