雪の思索空間、「鈴木大拙館」 Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki

金沢で案内していただき感動した建築がこちら。
金沢市出身の仏教学者である鈴木大拙への理解を深め、
思索の場とすることを目的に開設された文化施設「鈴木大拙館（すずきだいせつかん）」。

The D. T. SUZUKI MUSEUM is a place in which you can get to know the world-renowned Buddhist philosopher, Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki, who was born in Honda-machi, in the city of Kanazawa. Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki was a Japanese author of books and essays on Buddhism, Zen and Shin that were instrumental in spreading interest in both Zen and Shin (and Far Eastern philosophy in general) to the West. Suzuki was also a prolific translator of Chinese, Japanese, and Sanskrit literature.

しんしんと降る雪の中、心静かにいられる洗練された空間でした。
喧騒から逃れ、物思いに耽ることができるこんな上質な空間が都市の中にあるという、
金沢の文化度の高さを感じることができる場所でした。

設計は、金沢と縁の深い谷口吉生（たにぐちよしお）さん。
香川県庁舎を設計した丹下健三さんのお弟子さんであり、
香川県の「丸亀市猪熊弦一郎現代美術館」「東山魁夷せとうち美術館」
を設計した建築家としても有名で、香川県とも縁の深い建築家です。
