遊びのデザイン展 – Universal Plaything

　日程：2002年07月01日(月)～08(月)

ユニバーサルデザインの考えに基づいた、子供・高齢者、健常者・障害者問わず、誰でも遊ぶ楽しみを見つけることができる玩具。それが“Universal Plaything”である。1980年頃欧米で始まり、ここ最近少子化・高齢化社会の中、日本でも注目を浴び始めているこの考え方のもと、大学の内外のアーティスト8名に、21世紀の新しいユニバーサルプレイシングの制作を依頼し、展示したもの。

The toy which everybody can play and enjoy. It is based on the idea of universal design which does not ask age and handicap. That is Universal Plaything. It started in the 1980 in Europe, and is beginning to capture the spotlight also in Japan. We requested eight artists’ new universal plaything in the 21st century on the basis of this view, and was exhibited.
