「長津神社」(愛媛県今治市菊間町)にかつて鎮座していた唐破風鬼。
天保6年（1835年）に愛媛県に750年残る名産「菊間瓦」の職人、
大西屋久蔵さんによって作られた手仕事。
薄い牡丹の花びらの可憐さ、
唐獅子の力強さが共存している素晴らしい作品。
今治市・菊間町のかわら館にて。

Kikuma town is the production area of traditional Japanese tile at Ehime pref., Japan. This is the gable pug-ugly which had been set at Nagatsu shrine was made by the artisan Mr. Ohnishi in 1835 Edo piriod. You can see the beautiful flower of peony and powerful foo dog at Kikuma Tile Museum, Kikuma town, Imabari city, Ehime pref., Japan
