【香川 8/13-15】万灯みたままつり 讃岐宮 護国神社 – [Kagawa 13-15 Aug.] Manto-Mitama Festival, Sanukigu Gokoku Shrine

明治維新以来、国のために尊い命を捧げた香川県出身の35,700あまりの英霊が祀られています。

The Manto Mitama Festival, which commemorates the war dead and prays for lasting peace, will be held at Sanukigu Gokoku Shrine (Shigeaki Kanamori, chief priest) in Bunkyo-cho, Zentsuji City, Kagawa Prefecture, from 13-15 March. About 2,000 lanterns will illuminate the approach to the shrine and offer prayers for the repose of the souls of the dead in a solemn atmosphere. The lighting is from 6pm to 9pm.

万燈みたままつり – 善通寺市

戦没者を慰霊し恒久平和を願う祭りで、讃岐宮県護国神社で実施されます。戦没者の遺族が献灯した提灯が、幻想的な風景を生み出します。鎮魂の祈りをささげるこの祭りに併せて、毎年さまざまな催しが予定されます。
