徳島県唯一の村、佐那河内村（さなごうちそん）を一望できる棚田。晴れている日は、紀伊水道や小松島まで見通せるとても美しい風景ですが、いつまで続くだろうか。

「来年つづけられるかどうか。やれるうちはしとかんと。」

今年は雨続きでぬかるんでいるためいつもの二倍の手間がかかるので大変そう。こういう風景を次の世代に繋げていくために私達に何ができるだろう。

雨が続いた時、村の人はよく「じるい（じゅるい）」という言葉を使います。香川や徳島の方言。「地面がゆるい」→「地ゆるい」→「ぢるい」→「じるい（じゅるい）」。

Tanada means a rice-producing area located on a slope. In Sanagochi village of Tokushima pref., rices are turned into a brand by publicity activities which focus on the fact that the rices are produced in Tanada. I took photographs of them.
