愛媛県砥部町の窯業技術センター (産業技術研究所)　Ceramic Research Center of Ehime

愛媛の建築家さんやデザイナーさんと砥部（とべ）焼の産地、
愛媛県砥部町の窯業技術センター （産業技術研究所）へ行ってきました。
瓦や焼き物の強度や耐水性・耐寒性、いぶし銀や釉薬の風合い、
新技術や新素材の開発などをしている研究所です。

Kikuma town of Ehime pref. is production area of Kikuma tile. And, Tobe town of Ehime pref. is production area of Tobe pottery. The Ceramic Research Center of Ehime which is located at Tobe town research these materials. Their mission is the research of fundamental materials and the development of advanced materials.

伝統産業とはいえ、古いものをそのまま残すのではなく、
常にこうして新しいものづくりを目指している方たちに支えられているのだと、
興奮しっぱなしでした。現場は、宝にあふれていましたよ。今後が楽しみです。
