Louis Vuitton クリスマス・ウィンドウLatitude 48.194 / Longitude 02.286

この時期、ロンドンは大学の卒業制作展でにぎわっております。
これは、Saint MartinsのSummer Showで展示されていた作品。
去年の冬にルイ・ヴィトンに採用されたSaint Martinsの学生のデザイン。
Saint Martinsの友人の話だと、たしか
ルイヴィトンがはじまった土地の
地形図をもとに切り出した形状だそうです。

　> 作品のタイトルは’Latitude 48.194 / Longitude 02.286’　
　> つまり「緯度48.194/経度02.286」。デザインしたのは
　> アイルランド出身の２１才、Christopher Lawson と
　> スペイン出身の26才、Marcos Villalba。
　> これはヴィトンが２００７年のクリスマス・ウィンドウの為に
　> 同カレッジで開催したコンペティションの最優秀作品で、
　> 同作品は全世界の1000店舗以上のショウ・ウィンドウに採用されています。

　> Louis Vuitton has long been a brand associated
　> with the art world thanks to frequent collaborations
　> and exhibitions in its stores – and this year,
　> ceo Yves Carcelle invited students to conjure
　> up a vision for Vuitton’s Christmas windows.
　> Winners Christopher Lawson
　> and Marcos Villalba designed a 3-D wooden map,
　> a construction about to feature in over 1000 stores worldwide.
