夜間飛行 ポピュラスケープ PopulouSCAPE

世界3,800都市の人口を美しい映像として可視化した映像作品。
サン＝テグジュペリの「人間の土地」に着想を得た10分間の夜間飛行です。
僕は、森美術館で展示したオリジナルバージョンの制作を担当しました。

国連のHABITAT (人間居住計画)が所有している3,800都市の人口統計データを
3DCGの地球儀上にマッピングした映像作品。監修は建築家の太田浩史さんと南泰裕さん。
六本木ヒルズのオープニング展覧会「世界都市～都市は世界へ～」にて映像を展示。
50万人以上の来場者を記録しました。

The movie work which visualizes the population distribution of the city, based on the 3,800 city data of the habitat (United Nations human-being habitation plan). It was displayed at the exhibition in Roppongi Hills which recorded more than 500,000. After that, it was cited on the architectural magazine 10+1 as world urban research.

PopulouSCAPE｜ポピュラスケープとは、世界地図の上 を夜間飛行する１０分のムービー。
地図上に可視化された人口ビルにより、世界の都市人口が直感的に 把握可能である。
美しい映像と音楽が、見る者の心に語りかける。

PopulouSCAPE is the 10 minutes movie showing the distribution of world urban population as city nightscapes.

The night flight over the cityscape starts from Asia and ends at North America, accompanied with original music with four dramatic movements.

With the visualization of population growth, the network of international flights and roads, or internet linkages, we will see our cities in PopulouSCAPE, to discover our urbanizing world.
