Tokushima City’s ‘Nagaya Project’ is a collection of unique shops and workshops renovated from row houses that are over 60 years old. At the heart of the project is ‘Utsuwa to Kurashi no Mono Nagaya,’ a general store that utilises a row house once owned by the owner’s grandparents, selling handmade tableware and daily necessities that complement everyday life. This project was initiated by the owner, who felt it was a shame that the row house had been vacant for 10 years, leveraging their experience and connections from the ‘Regional Revitalisation Cooperation Team.’ The renovation deliberately preserved the charm of the old building. It is gaining attention as a new way to utilise the value of vacant houses. This place, where the memories of the old row house are preserved while new ideas intersect, serves as a ‘community porch’ where people connect and new value is created. Why not enjoy a nostalgic and creative moment in the heart of Tokushima City?

nagaya.は徳島市にあるうつわと暮らしものを扱うお店です。暮らしの中で、大切にしていきたい手作りのものや使っていくうちに味わいが深まり愛着が湧くものを販売しています。建物は店主の祖父母が建てた築60年のボロボロだったトタンの”長屋”をリノベーションして使っています。古い長屋がすこし新しくなって今の暮らしに馴染んでいく、そんな希望を込めています。月に一度日用品などの様々な展示会をしております。
