【高知 2/6 生誕104年】アンパンマンの作者、高知出身の漫画家やなせたかしさん – [Kochi 101st Anniversary] Anpanman creator Takashi Yanase

今日2月6日は、「それいけ！アンパンマン」の作者として知られる高知県出身の漫画家、やなせたかしさん（1919年2月6日〜2013年10月13日）の104歳のお誕生日です！

四国に遊びに来る関東の家族や友人がお子さんがいると必ずと言っていいほど「アンパンマン列車」や「アンパンマンミュージアム」を目指して四国にやってきます。作者のやなせたかし先生の偉大さを改めて感じております。四国はアンパンマンの聖地。これからも、やなせ先生の作品によってたくさんの子どもたちが笑顔になりますように。

Mr. Takashi Yanase who was the creater of “Anpanman” perished. “Anpanman,” is one of the most popular Japanese anime cartoon series for young children. He raised in Kochi pref. in Shikoku.

The Anpanman (man of bread filled with red bean paste) character first appeared in Yanase’s tale for children in 1969, and the stories revolving around the hero who offers his own head to those who are hungry later became a popular picture book series. They were made into a television cartoon in 1988.

Many family come to the Museum of Kochi and take a ride on Anpanman train. It’s like a holy place for children. I am thinking of you and praying for you in this time of loss.

Anpanman is made of bread! And what’s more, he is filled with tasty sweet bean paste.

This delicious hero fights the evil Baikin-man (Bacteria Man) and saves unfortunate souls from starvation by offering them a piece of his head!

All he need do it fly back home and Uncle Jam will bake him a new one.

You can visit Anpanman and all his friends at this unique museum in Kami City, Kochi pref., Japan. And you can take a ride on a “Anpanman train” in JR Shikoku.

三越の包装紙『華ひらく』は、図案が猪熊弦一郎さん、「mitsukoshi」文字は、当時は三越の社員で宣伝部に所属していたやなせたかしさんの仕事です。

「華ひらく」のモチーフが生まれたきっかけはふたつの石でした。
猪熊氏が千葉の犬吠埼を散策中、海岸で波に洗われる石を見て「波にも負けずに頑固で強く」「自然の作る造形の美しさ」をテーマにしようと考えたことが始まりです。
戦後、これからの時代は包装紙も自分をアピールするような強いものでなければならないとの理由から、鮮やかな朱一色の「スキャパレリレッド」が用いられました。そして当時三越宣伝部の社員で後に漫画家となるやなせたかし氏により「mitsukoshi」の筆記体が書き入れられました。こうして完成した「華ひらく」はその作品名にふさわしく、商品を包むと花がひらいたようにパッと雰囲気を華やかにさせ、多くの人へ笑顔を運んでいます。

包装紙を考案する過程で制作された型紙と原画は今でも大切に保管されています。クリスマスギフトとして作られたデザインは特別な贈り物を包むのにふさわしい賑やかな表情が印象的です。このように時代と共に変化する価値観を超えてスタンダードであり続ける力を持つデザインとして、2019年度に「グッドデザイン・ロングライフデザイン賞」を受賞しました。
